Some of you may have seen from my last post that I bought !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! last Wednesday. I knew it was black. I knew it had two, maybe four doors. Today, I found out it had a stripe and that it's a GMC.

So this is what happens when you lose your fucks and forget where they went off to. Apparently, this guy thought this was the acceptable level of clean to advertise the car. I'm not joking, the ad picture was exactly this dirty.

While I had sometime time today, I gave it a smattering of water and tried brushing off the filth. After only mediocre results, I took it down to the small town car wash and gave it the full soap and foam brush treatment.

Sportwagen might recognize some of these Clearwater, KS places.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

It's not all that bad looking really. I'm really digging the chunky tires the previous owner bought for it. There's a couple rough spots, but it's a 15 year old Jimmy and I've got practically nothing in it. The hood's all sorts of not black so I'll buy another one this week and fix that. The insides still a total mess, but I'll attack that another time once my dad and I fix the mechanical issues. It's only got like 119k miles too, which is way less than any other listed in town.

Also, dad bought this yesterday. It's a really smart buy considering where we are and all the country folk my dad grew up with. It'll be a super easy sell.

Kinja'd!!!

Also, we've had this outside for quite a while now, looking to get rid of it. 80 Pontiac Trans Am Pace Car. Originally had the 305 Turbo (Absolute dog motor) so now it's got a 455.

Kinja'd!!!

Lastly, I saw one of these at the car wash, I'm not sure the name, but I've some a couple around time before. It just looks like a weird awkward elephant or rhino to me.

The Wichita Oppos are trying to set up our own snowcross of icecross, which I will thoroughly dominate with this thing.

Hell yes we will. I'm pretty sure we've got the spot picked out. We just need to make sure the lot doesn't have any poles or curb stops to crash into.

Safety, yo.

Right, I need to edit that. I meant to say car wash.

Dad's shop is on 95th, so I rarely go into the actual town much.

Nah, of course you can. Normally, there's not much interesting stuff in there: It's still an old 5-6 car shop on a farm, but we've still get restoration projects off to the side.

I'll just have to coordinate with you the next time I'm down there, preferably when we've got some more classic stuff in there.

LOL hey at least your dad isn't the type of guy who just collects car and let's them rot into oblivion... This guy for example (south of 68th) . He has a SHITLOAD of old 64-68 mustangs (V8's, I6's, Verts, Coupes, Fastbacks, you name it), a literal FUCKTON of Corvairs (Spyders, Verts, etc) and a bunch of other stuff (fox bodies, 50's cars, air cooled VW's, even a couple of Vanagons (Type 2), possibly some really rare ones!) I should post some pics I took of the place... it is rather depressing TBH :'(

I still haven't done any sort of RallyX events, just dirt drifting in the Subarus I had. Hopefully, they'll bring them back. I've only actually done the three AutoX events with the Honda and another upcoming AutoX in a Mustang.

However, I know these little 4x4 Blazers are pretty good offroaders. I had one just like this in high school that I drove up a steep we were using for sledding. That was on street tires too. I bet it'd be slow, but it'd be a fun RallyXer.

Don't speak too son, Dad's got a 69 Mach 1 that's been sitting in the West St. Spangles for about a year now.

Hell, we know that guy. He sells parts off of most all of those cars for people like us that do restorations.

One of dad's clients bought a brand new Boss 302 to match the one we're doing for him and has it stored somewhere just north of the pool. It's got like 12 miles on it. I'm assuming you've seen the little house just south of K42 and 135th. They've got a pretty sizeable collection that I posted about here and here . They're the people generous enough to lend me their Pantera for a week .

I don't even know the SCCA people! I've only been doing Porsche autocrosses; Next week will be my first SCCA event.

We'll have to see if we can coordinate and revive it over the winter.

Well that's what we're talking about doing between the Oppos. A completely unofficial snowcross in an abandoned dog track parking lot north of town.

The Subaru guys used to do stuff kinda like that when I had mine. It'd be all kinda of hopeless in the S2000. That's difficult on warm, dry pavement.
